Students who wish to take courses from summer school are required to comply with the Balıkesir University Summer School Regulations.
For students who will take Summer School Courses from Balıkesir University;
- Students studying at Balıkesir University will register for summer school courses through the OBS student system. Registration will be approved by each student's advisor. Students may enroll in a maximum of 12 credits during summer school (including courses taken from other universities) .
- The courses planned to be offered in our Mechanical Engineering Department during the summer school and the application dates will be announced on the department website.
- When registering for courses via OBS, the Faculty of Engineering Common Pool Courses will be taken from the coordinator department specified in the list.
- For courses in summer term programs to be offered, the number of registered students cannot be less than 15, and a new group cannot be opened for that course unless the number of students exceeds 50 (optional). The number of students registered for a course cannot exceed 150.
- The courses that students wish to take should not conflict with each other.
For students who are Mechanical Engineering Students at Balıkesir University and will take Summer School Courses from other Universities;
- Students must complete a summer school course registration form and have it approved by their advisor and department to take courses at universities where the base score for the first semester of their placement year is equal to or higher than the base score for the first semester of the summer school program (as specified on the ÖSYM website) , provided they notify their unit via a written request. The summer school course registration form, along with the course schedules and course content of other universities, must be reviewed with the advisor.
- Summer school courses may only be selected from the Mechanical Engineering Departments within the Faculty of Engineering/Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Courses with the same course title offered by different departments will not be accepted.
- Courses opened from Technology Faculties, Foundation Universities or other faculties will not be accepted.
- The Summer School Course Application Form must be downloaded from the department website, printed, and the required fields, name, surname, signature, date, base score, telephone number, etc. must be filled in by hand, the relevant course contents must be added, and the application form must be signed and approved by the advisor.
- If the requested course content is available on the university's website, students simply need to attach a printout with the web address to the summer school course registration form. Approved course content from the other institution will not be required. - Balıkesir University Faculty of Engineering Mechanical Engineering You cannot take and count courses that are not in the curriculum or whose content does not match in the summer school.
- During the summer term, students can enroll in courses worth a maximum of 12 credits in total, based on their departmental course credits (including courses taken from other universities) .
- Students who take more than 12 credits of courses from other universities and Balıkesir University during the summer school will not be accepted. If they take more than 12 credits, their courses will be deleted, regardless of the course.
- Summer schools starting after our Balıkesir University final exams will be accepted.
- A student can only take courses from one university at a time. In this case, care must be taken to avoid course conflicts.
- Summer school and internship cannot be held at the same time.
- Courses taken from different universities during the summer school must have either a higher credit rating or a 0.5 credit rating. Credit mismatches other than this will not be accepted.
- The deadline for submitting applications for summer term courses, including a petition, is one week after the advisor approvals specified in the Balıkesir University Summer Term Calendar. Furthermore, if there are any changes to the approved forms or courses, the forms must be updated and approved by this deadline.
