In-Company Vocational Training (7+1)
Integrate Your Education with the Business World!
Real World Experience with the 7+1 Model
At Balıkesir University's Department of Mechanical Engineering, we prioritize our students gaining industry experience and reinforcing their theoretical knowledge in real-world business environments before graduation. Our "In-Company Vocational Training (7+1)" program is an innovative, hands-on training model designed to meet this need.
With this model, our students spend one semester of their eight-semester undergraduate education working full-time in a company, taking on an active role as an employee. This is much more than an internship; it's an integral part of the curriculum, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and the professional world.
What is In-Company Vocational Training (7+1)?
The 7+1 Education Model is an educational system that allows our undergraduate students to spend seven semesters of theoretical and practical courses at university, while also spending one semester entirely in an industrial or service-sector business. During this period, our students take the "In-Company Vocational Training " course included in the department curriculum and gain the learning outcomes associated with this course directly in the workplace.
